Last week we had fun exploring maps! The preschoolers where not as into the idea of maps are much preferred pathways and mazes. Therefore, we will be moving on to discuss keeping our bodies healthy. The preschoolers have been enjoying our doctors office in the kitchen area and are very interested in giving "shots." This week we will be talking about healthy habits and remaining healthy when we are stuck inside.
For small groups, the preschoolers will be doing an experiment with germs and watching how they spread. We will also be exploring the angles and sides of shapes and sorting healthy foods verse unhealthy foods. I want to make sure my students have the materials and experiences they need to succeed, so I just created a request for my classroom at DonorsChoose.org: Art Supplies for Crafty Kids P.S. If you know anyone who may want to help my classroom, please pass this along! Please remember that we will most likely go outdoors if the weather is appropriate. Please remember to send appropriate winter gear, so that the children can warmly explore outdoors during the long winter months. If anyone has any gently used winter gear (hats, mittens, snow pants, and boots) and they would like to donate them we would really appreciate it. Mittens are awesome for preschoolers! They keep their hands warm and are easier for young children to put on. If mittens are an option for you please send your child in with them. Upcoming Events: January 31st: Raise a Glass for Ray February 1st- No School for Students February 18th- No School
