What a busy week in 411! We fit in our leaf study just in time before the snow! The kids where amazed by the different colors and shapes of the leaves. They enjoyed going on a leaf hunt and finding the most vibrate colors.
In addition, we focused on numbers. We looked at many different ways to make five and used mental math to figure how many dots where on a page. Information about our number exploration will be going up on the bulletin board in the next couple of days. Next week, we will be exploring the wind. The preschoolers will explore the strength of the wind outdoors (weather dependent) and inside by using a strong fan. The preschoolers will also use the wind that they create themselves to see how they can push objects. This weekend see how wind affects the leaves and snow on the ground. Parent teacher conferences: November 15th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you need to schedule a special time or day please let me know, I would be happy to schedule a time that works for you. Please be sure to sign up for the Parent Teacher conferences (on the clipboard beside the sign in sheet). As the weather gets cooler please be sure to dress your child appropriately. In addition, please check your child’s extra clothes in their cubby to make sure they are weather appropriate for the changing weather. Please work with your child on getting dressed on their own. It takes a long time to get everyone dressed for outside and we are happy to help. Over the next couple of weeks have your child show you the preschool flip. Also, try getting gloves on independently. Thanks for your help! Being that the days are shorter and the weather is cooler outside time will start to become limited.
