Families,
We have successfully completed week two of school! The children are learning all about the materials in our classroom and making new friends. We will continue to study “All About Me” for the next few weeks. Some students have already taken home the All About Me Bag. Be on the look out for your child's turn. We love learning about each student! Please make sure you have turned in your child's name letter and family picture. This week marked the start of our very first Fit Friday! It was a huge success. The children picked and sampled veggies from our garden. Ask your child what their favorite veggie was and check out our chart in the classroom. We will learning all about our Work It Out Wheel over the next 6 weeks. The Wheel is a tool that we use to help children figure out how to solve problems in the classroom. The six items on the Wheel are 1. Bugs and Wishes. 2. Share or take a turn 3. Find a new friend. 4. Take a Balloon Breath. 5. Take a break and cool down. 6. Walk away. Last week we discussed "Take a Balloon breath" and next week we will be discussing "Walk Away." In addition, next week we will also be coming up with classroom rules. The students will listen to the book, "David Goes to School." by David Shannon and then coming up with rules that they think will be good in our classroom. We will then decide on four important rules and each student will put their hand print on the rules to say that they agree to follow the rules.
