Hello Families,
We just want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who braved the rainy weather and came to parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday. Your support and dedication to your child’s education is so important and we can already see everyone is well on their way to a successful future. We are lucky to have such amazing parents, it sure makes our jobs easier! This week in 411 we discovered the power of wind. We used a large fan to discuss what the wind felt like on our bodies and how we all felt different things. We then predicted what items would blow away and what items would stay in place. The children loved this activity and many choose to explore it during free choice. We then tried the same activity with a smaller, less powerful fan to see the difference of what each could blow away. The preschoolers also figured out the best way to blow a notecard with their breath. They then counted how many breathes it took to blow different objects across the table. You will see lots of art work that included blowing through a straw coming home. Thank you to Kelly's Mom in the AM class, who took the time to volunteer this week! Next week is a very short week! We will talk about things we are thankful for. REMINDERS: Parent/Child Activity: Tuesday November 21, 2017 9:15-10:15 AM It's gonna be awesome! This will be school for Tuesday!
